Alumni Update – Connellsville’s Jimmy Malone

Jimmy Malone fired a seven-hit shutout in Saint Vincent College’s 3-0 game one victory over visiting Chatham University Sunday afternoon. The junior lefty struck out three in the win. Malone is 3-0 this season with a 2.96 earned-run average. The Connellsville graduate was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance. Krystyna Burdelski went 3-1 with a 2.52 ERA last week for Westminster College. She totaled 16 strikeouts while walking just two over her 25.0 innings.
