Myers’ Pitching Gem Ends Hempfield’s Section Winning Streak
Junior Kiley Myers had one of the best games of her career on Thursday. Myers shut out top-ranked Hempfield, 1-0, to end the Spartans section winning streak at 41 games. For the second time in three years, the Bethel Park baseball team can call themselves section champions. David Cricks fired off a complete-game shutout of the No. 8-ranked Mercyhurst University Lakers on Sunday. Cricks took a perfect game into the fifth inning and a no-hitter into the seventh against the Lakers. He struck out 10 and only walked two batters.
