The West Allegheny baseball team got an exceptional pitching performance from freshman Gavin Miller, who helped the Indians undefeated with a 2-1 win at Laurel Highlands. The WPIAL basketball playoffs get revved up today, including the start of the Class 5A boys basketball playoffs. West Allegheny’s Hannah Lindemuth became the latest member of the 1,000 point club. The senior recorded 12 points in the Indians’ 48-41 win at South Fayette on Monday night to reach the milestone. For the first time since 1995, the Penn Hills football program can call themselves WPIAL champions.
