West Allegheny Baseball Squeaks By Laurel Highlands
The West Allegheny baseball team got an exceptional pitching performance from freshman Gavin Miller, who helped the Indians undefeated with a 2-1 win at Laurel Highlands.
Although he did not pick up the win, Miller held down the Mustangs offense through 6.1 innings pitched. Junior Ryan Dorste got the win, finishing off the seventh inning.
Junior Austin Hendrick got a triple and a run for the Indians.
West Allegheny improves to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the section. The Indians will play Trinity at Washington & Jefferson’s Ross Memorial Park tonight at 7 p.m. for a section game.
Laurel Highlands drops to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the section. The Mustangs will travel to Connellsville today at 4 p.m. for a section game.
