Central Catholic comes into tonight winners of 3 of their last 4 games. Seneca Valley has won 2 of the last 3. With a win and a Butler win, Central Catholic could jump into a 3-way tie for first place with Butler and New Castle. Seneca Valley is currently tied for the final playoff spot in the section with North Allegheny. Seneca Valley pulled off the upset on the road in the first meeting 63-54 on January 6.
North Allegheny (7-9, 2-4) at Pine-Richland (5-12, 1-5) – 7:30 pm
North Allegheny is coming off of a 62-53 loss at home against New Castle snapping a 2-game winning streak. Pine-Richland defeated Northgate 66-46 at the PBC Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday. North Allegheny is looking to keep pace with Seneca Valley for the final playoff spot in the section. Mars (12-5, 4-2) at West Allegheny (8-10, 1-5) – 7:30 pm
Mars fell to Baldwin at the PBC Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday snapping a 2-game winning streak. West Allegheny is coming off of a 63-45 loss at Chartiers Valley on Friday. Mars is tied with Moon for second place and sits a game back of North Hills for first place. West Allegheny sits 2 games out of a playoff spot. Mars won the January 6th matchup 82-56.

Norwin 60, Butler 22
Norwin (16-3, 6-1) jumped out to a 37-19 lead at halftime and shut out Butler (10-8, 4-3) in the 4th quarter in route to a 60-22 victory. Ava Kobus and Lauren Palangio each had 16 points for Norwin.
North Allegheny 51, Pine-Richland 46
Pine-Richland (8-9, 2-5) had the lead at halftime but a 18-13 fourth quarter gave North Allegheny (12-4, 6-1) a 51-46 win. The win keeps North Allegheny and Norwin tied for first in Section 1-6A. Jasmine Timmerson had 24 points for North Allegheny. Madison Zavasky had 23 points for Pine-Richland and Sarah Pifer had 10.
Seneca Valley 51, Hempfield 48
Seneca Valley (5-13, 1-6) had a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter and had to fend off a ferocious Hempfield (8-10, 2-5) attack to hang on for a 51-48 victory. The loss keeps Hempfield and Pine-Richland tied for the last playoff spot in the section. Ashley Hosni led all scorers with 15 points for Hempfield. Brooke McCoy had 11 points and Ava Shipman added 10 points. Gracie Cato added 13 points for Seneca Valley and Emerson Peffer had 10 points.

Upper St. Clair 52, Mt. Lebanon 44
Upper St. Clair (15-2, 8-0) jumped out on Mt. Lebanon (13-6, 7-3) early and even though the Blue Devils had a big 3rd quarter, it was the Panthers of Upper St. Clair who were victorious 52-44. The win gives Upper St. Clair a 2.5 game lead in the section and the season sweep of Mt. Lebanon. Rylee Kalocay had 20 points for Upper St. Clair while Mia Brown added 12. Payton Collins led Mt. Lebanon with 15 points while Tori Pettko had 14.
Chartiers Valley 59, Baldwin 51
Chartiers Valley (10-6, 6-3) used a 19-7 first quarter to catapult themselves to a 59-51 win over Baldwin (8-11, 4-6). Emma Reynolds led everyone with 21 points for Chartiers Valley, Ella Cupka and Lilah Turnbull each had 12 points. Mary Vargo scored 17 points for Baldwin while Gia Schoeb added 15.
Bethel Park 61, Peters Township 60
In a game where neither team could get any separation, it was Bethel Park (6-10, 3-5) who was able to finally fend off Peters Township (9-9, 3-6) 61-60. The win puts Bethel Park a game back of a playoff spot. Mary Boff had 16 points for Bethel Park, Sophia Nath had 13 points and Rebecca Gillenberger added 12. Gemma Walker led all scorers with 23 points for Peters Township. Brianna Morreale added 12 points and Daniela Radulovich had 10 points.

Indiana 61, Gateway 34
Indiana (13-6, 9-0) jumped on Gateway early (4-13, 0-10) and coasted to a 61-34 victory. With the win Indiana now has a 2.5 game lead over Woodland Hills for the section lead. Woodland Hills plays tonight. Katie Kovalchick led the way for Indiana with 21 points. Eve Fiala pitched in 17 points and Bella Antonacci had 11 points. Marina Grado had 13 points for Gateway.

Hampton 53, Fox Chapel 36
Fox Chapel (12-7, 6-4) led after the first quarter but Hampton’s (13-5, 7-2) defense picked it up a notch the rest of the game en route to a 53-36 win. The win keeps Hampton tied for first place with Mars. The loss puts Fox Chapel only a half game up on Shaler for the final playoff spot. Claire Rodgers had 19 points for Hampton while Meghan Murray added 18. Sarah Slember had 18 points for Fox Chapel.
Armstrong 37, Mars 28
Armstrong (16-3, 7-3) helped out Hampton and themselves beating section leader Mars (13-4, 7-2) 37-28 in a low scoring affair. Mars and Hampton are now tied for first place in the section with Armstrong a half game back. Emma Paul led all scorers with 12 points for Armstrong while Kyla Fitzgerald added 11 points. Alexis Cashdollar had 10 points for Mars.
Shaler 60, New Castle 39
Shaler (14-5, 5-4) jumped out to a 23-0 lead after a quarter of play and rolled to a 60-39 victory over New Castle (4-14, 1-9). Shaler’s win coupled with Fox Chapel’s loss puts the Titans a half game back of the final playoff spot in the section. Haley Kostorick had 30 points for Shaler. Armani Walker led New Castle with 15 points while Valerie Colon had 11 points.

Latrobe 76, Connellsville 44
In a game that only had a 9-point difference at halftime. Latrobe (12-7, 4-5) used a 29-9 third quarter to separate themselves and defeat Connellsville (3-16, 0-10) 76-44. The win keeps Latrobe a game up on Albert Gallatin for the final spot. Camille Dominick led Latrobe with 23 points, Josie Straigis had 18 points and Carley Berk added 14. Hillary Claycomb had 16 points for Connellsville and Whitney Bobish pitched in 12.
Oakland Catholic 65, Thomas Jefferson 47
Oakland Catholic (17-2, 10-0) continued their section dominance with a 65-47 victory over Thomas Jefferson (8-10, 2-7). Oakland Catholic keeps their 2-game lead over McKeesport intact for the moment. Alexa Washington had 16 points for Oakland Catholic while Rachel Haver had 14. Laekyn Flinn led Thomas Jefferson with 20 points.

Trinity 68, Moon 38
In a game that was fairly competitive most of the night, Trinity (12-5, 6-1) used a 25-10 fourth quarter to pull away from Moon (7-11, 0-7) and come away with the 68-38 victory. Trinity continues to stay one game back of South Fayette with the win. Riley Corrins led Trinity with 12 points while Kristina Bozek had 11 points.
South Fayette 76, Lincoln Park 40
South Fayette (17-2, 7-0) rolled once again in section play as they beat Lincoln Park (15-3, 4-3) 76-40. The win keeps South Fayette a game up on Trinity. It was a balanced effort as four players finished in double figures including Maddie Webber (16), Ava Leroux (15), Lainey Yater (13) and Juliette Leroux (10).
Montour 53, West Allegheny 42
In a game with maybe the most playoff implications on the night, it was Montour (6-11, 3-4) who was able to come out victorious against West Allegheny (5-12, 1-6) 53-42. The win gives Montour a 2-game lead over West Allegheny for the final playoff spot in the section and they have now swept the season series. Jordy Wolfe led all scorers with 21 points for Montour. Sterling McCleaster added 10 points. Ella Smith led West Allegheny with 19 points.

Hempfield ended a 5-game losing streak beating Pine-Richland 48-47 on Thursday.
