4 named to PG Girls Soccer All-Area Team; PT’s Molly Kubistek is Player of the Year

Peters Township goalkeeper Molly Kubistek was named the 2024 Post-Gazette Girls Soccer Player of the Year yesterday. This honor also comes along with being named all-area. She was joined by her teammate Camryn Klein along with players from Seneca Valley and Latrobe.

Five players from the Big 56 Conference were named to the PSCA Girls Soccer All-State Team. The WPIAL 4A champion Peters Township got two players on the list while Seneca Valley, Latrobe and Upper St. Clair each had representatives as well.

The WPIAL announced the playoff pairings for the 2024 WPIAL Boys & Girls Soccer Championships. The first round for the girls will begin on Monday with 4 contests. The first round for the boys will begin on Tuesday with 5 contests. On each side, the top 2 teams will be taken to the PIAA Tournament.
