In Class 6A, the top six teams make the playoffs due to the fact that there is only one section. In Class 5A, top four in each section qualify for the playoffs. If teams are tied for the final playoff spot (6th in 6A, 4th in 5A) and they split the regular season series, both teams qualify for the playoffs.
