CLASS 6A

#1 Hempfield (18-1) – bye

#5 Norwin (8-10) vs. #4 Pine-Richland (11-9)

#2 Seneca Valley (19-1) – bye

#6 Canon-McMillan (7-11) vs. #3 North Allegheny (12-6)

Pretty self explanatory here. The only discussion is Hempfield and Seneca Valley for the #1 seed. You could go either way but I believe the way Hempfield won the second game of the season series was pretty convincing.

CLASS 5A

#16 Western Beaver (6-6) vs. #1 Armstrong (14-3)

#9 Thomas Jefferson (9-7) vs. #8 Plum (11-6)

#13 Franklin Regional (10-9-1) vs. #4 Shaler (14-3)

#12 Bethel Park (10-9) vs. #5 Penn-Trafford (12-5)

#14 Fox Chapel (7-9) vs. #3 West Allegheny (16-3)

#11 Latrobe (9-10) vs. #6 Trinity (11-6)

#15 Mars (6-12) vs. #2 North Hills (13-4)

#10 South Fayette (11-5) vs. #7 Connellsville (12-7)

You can honestly arrange the top 4 any way you want. For me, Shaler gets the #4 seed since they were a 2nd place finisher in Section 1 while the top 3 were all section champions. Despite being a section champion, Trinity comes in at #6 for me because of the strength of Section 4. I believe South Fayette and Latrobe would be seeded higher than Thomas Jefferson in power rankings but to avoid first round section matchups TJ is the 9.
