Bria Bosiljevac threw a complete game striking out 17 hitters and homered in the fourth inning to give 2nd-seeded Shaler (19-1) the lead for good as the Titans got into the state playoffs with a 2-1 win over 12th-seeded South Fayette (12-11). Liv Bonacci hit a home run and Emma Early was the tough luck loser throwing a complete game striking out eight for South Fayette.

Shaler advances to the state tournament where they will take on Central Mountain, the champions of District 6, on Monday at a site and time to be determined.
