The WPIAL announced the Girls Volleyball playoff brackets around noon today. There are 13 teams so there were three teams to get first round byes: North Allegheny, Seneca Valley and Canon-McMillan. The first round will take place on Tuesday, October 24 with the quarterfinals kicking off on Thursday, October 26. The semifinals are still to be determined but the WPIAL Class 4A Championship match will be played on Saturday, November 4 at 5 p.m. at AHN Arena at Peters Township High School.

#9 Hempfield (8-7) vs. #8 North Hills (10-6) – 6 pm at Pine-Richland

#13 Mt. Lebanon (5-11) at #4 Pine-Richland (11-5) – 7:30 pm

#12 Fox Chapel (6-8) at #5 Upper St. Clair (12-2) – 7:30 pm

#2 Seneca Valley (11-3) – bye

#10 Shaler (4-10) vs. #7 Peters Township (10-6) – 6 pm at Upper St. Clair

#3 Canon-McMillan (13-3) – bye
