TITLE GAME REMATCH

It’s a rematch from last season’s surprise WPIAL 6A championship game when Seneca Valley hosts Norwin at 4 p.m.

In the 2024 title game, No. 5 Norwin scored a run in the first inning and two more in the second to go up 3-0.

Seneca Valley answered with a run in the third inning and two more in the sixth to send the battle for the district championship into extra innings. Pinch runner Julia Valasek scored the golden run with one out in the bottom of the eighth to give the Raiders their second crown in four years.

Then junior pitcher Lexie Hames struck out 19 and allowed four hits in the win for SV.

This season Seneca Valley is 1-0 in 6A and 3-0 overall.

But it has been a rough start for Norwin, as they are 1-1 in 6A and 1-4 overall.
