Upper St. Clair’s Jerry Malarkey wins 400th game as Head Coach

Jerry Malarkey had to wait on win No. 400 of his coaching career all offseason. His players didn’t want him to wait any longer once the 2018 season began.

The Panthers picked up a 6-1 win against Valley down at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC on Friday to give their longtime head coach his milestone victory.

Nate Hamel picked up the first win of the season for the Panthers on the mound with a complete-game two-hitter. He struck out eight and didn’t walk anyone. The run was unearned off of Hamel.

Offensively, Herb Gordon had a double and a single and Dom Cepullio led the team with 2 RBI.

Upper St. Clair picked up another win on Saturday, defeating Ontario, OH, 10-1.
