Thomas Jefferson Softball Rallies Late To Extend Season

For the first five innings of its PIAA Quarterfinal Game against Interboro at Carlisle High School, Thomas Jefferson couldn’t muster any runs.

The final two innings were a completely different team. The Jaguars scored one in the sixth and three in the seventh to come away with a 4-1 win and set up a rematch of the Class 5A WPIAL Championship Game with West Allegheny in the PIAA Semifinals.

TJ tied it in the sixth inning after Bella Bucy singled, stole second, and scored on a dropped fly ball. Bucy wasn’t done as she delivered a big two-run double in the seventh inning. Bucy also picked up the win in the circle for the Jaguars.

With the win, Thomas Jefferson improves to 15-6.
