SOFTBALL
6A SECTION 1
North Allegheny 8, Baldwin 1
Caitlin Logan was 3-for-3 with a home run and drove in five runs as North Allegheny (12-4, 9-3) topped Baldwin (0-15, 0-12) on Wednesday evening in section play. Anne Melle struck out 11 in the circle for North Allegheny. Avery Herrington hit a home run for Baldwin.
Mt. Lebanon 9, Butler 1
Brooke Boehmer homered and drove in four runs and Hannah Boomhower homered as Mt. Lebanon (4-8, 3-7) picked up a Section 1-6A win over Butler (2-11, 2-10). Lily Vicari homered for Butler.
Hempfield 9, Canon-McMillan 3
Hannah Uhrenek was 3-for-4 with a home run and drove in two as Hempfield (12-2, 9-2) defeated Canon-McMillan (5-8, 4-7) in section play. Emily Griffith homered for Hempfield. Olivia Ford hit a home run and had two RBIs for Canon-McMillan.

Fox Chapel 15, Oakland Catholic 0
Ava Walmsley drove in two runs as Fox Chapel’s (6-7, 4-4) offense came to life taking down Oakland Catholic (0-7, 0-7) 15-0 on Wednesday.
North Hills 13, Penn Hills 3
Alexa Edmunds was 2-for-3 with a home run and drove in four while Brenna Westwood and Miranda Groll each had two RBIs as North Hills (11-2, 5-2) coasted to a Section 1-5A win over Penn Hills (5-6, 2-6). Shania Lewis had two hits, one being a home run, and two RBIs for Penn Hills.
Shaler 8, Plum 2
Emily Spears hit a home run and had three RBIs as Shaler (14-0, 8-0) kept the unbeaten season alive with an 8-2 win over Plum (7-6, 4-4) in section play. Bria Bosijevac struck out 10 in the circle for Shaler. Taylor Lorish homered for Plum.
5A SECTION 2
Armstrong 28, Gateway 0
Abigail Bauer hit in four runs while Natalie Zeigler had three RBIs as Armstrong (13-1, 8-0) rolled to a 28-0 win over Gateway (1-11, 0-8) in section play on Wednesday.
Penn-Trafford 7, Kiski Area 2
Lorryn Sepe homered as Penn-Trafford (4-9, 3-5) got the win over Kiski Area (6-6, 2-6) on Wednesday afternoon in section play. Mackenzie Rainey had two RBIs for Kiski Area.
Franklin Regional 4, Latrobe 1
5A SECTION 3
Mars 11, New Castle 1
Taylor Schmitt had two home runs and had three RBIs and Annalyn Issacs homered and drove in five as Mars (6-6, 4-3) coasted to an 11-1 section win over New Castle (4-9, 1-6).
Moon 1, South Fayette 0
Abbie Warnagiris tossed a gem, striking out 10 hitters as Moon (3-8, 2-5) won a pitcher’s duel against South Fayette (8-7, 5-3) on Thursday afternoon. Emma Earley was the tough luck loser for South Fayette striking out 14 in the circle.
West Allegheny 4, Western Beaver 2
Emily Nolan was 3-for-3 and Ava Henke homered and had two RBIs as West Allegheny (15-1, 8-0) kept their perfect section record intact defeating Western Beaver (5-7, 2-5) on Wednesday afternoon.
5A SECTION 4
Bethel Park 8, Peters Township 4
Anna Duguid drove in two runs and Nicolette Antonucci homered as Bethel Park (4-9, 3-5) picked up a Section 3-5A win over Peters Township (3-10, 1-7). Mackenzie Morgan drove in two runs for Peters Township.
Thomas Jefferson 17, Connellsville 0
Zoe Krizan had four RBIs, Morgan Alisesky drove in three runs and Allie Chalovich homered as Thomas Jefferson (11-4, 6-2) convincingly beat Connellsville (2-10, 2-6) in Section 4-5A action on Thursday. Kendall Pielin threw a complete game shutout for Thomas Jefferson.
Trinity 6, Upper St. Clair 2
Addison Agnew and Ryleigh Hoy each homered for Trinity (12-1, 8-0) as they stayed unbeaten in the section taking down Upper St. Clair (8-5, 4-4). Ava Prise was 2-for-3 with a home run for Upper St. Clair.

Ryan Inglis got the shutout win on the mound as Fox Chapel (9-5) won a tightly contested non-section game against Pine-Richland (12-5) on Wednesday.
