The Seneca Valley girls’ basketball team made sure on Monday night that any tiebreaker for a playoff spot with Pine-Richland would go their way, as they defeated them for a second time this season.

The Raiders went on the road and came away with a 45-36 win. SV only allowed eight points in the first half, and only one point in the second quarter.

Junior Gretchen Koken led the charge for the Raiders with 16 points. Senior Kayla Graf had 12 points for the Rams.

With the win, Seneca Valley moves into a third-place tie with an 8-6 overall record and 3-3 mark in Section 1-6A. The Raiders will go for their third straight win on Thursday when they host North Hills at 7:30 p.m.

Pine-Richland drops to 4-10 and 2-4 and are a game out of the playoff picture. They will travel to first-place North Allegheny on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
