6A SECTION 1

Hempfield (8-11, 2-6) at Butler (10-9, 4-4) – 7:00 pm

Hempfield comes into tonight having lost 7 of their last 8 games. Butler has lost 2 straight after winning 4 in a row. Hempfield can be eliminated with a loss and a Pine-Richland win at Norwin. Butler has clinched a playoff spot but can not finish any higher than third place. Butler won the first meeting on the road 65-63 on January 12.

Pine-Richland (9-10, 3-5) at Norwin (17-3, 7-1) – 7:30 pm – Westmoreland Sports Network

Pine-Richland has lost 3 of their last 4 games. Norwin has followed up a 2-game losing streak with a 3-game winning streak. Pine-Richland can clinch a playoff spot with a win and Hempfield loss. Norwin is looking to keep pace at the top of the section with North Allegheny. Norwin won the first matchup 41-33. The game will be broadcasted on the Westmoreland Sports Network. 6A SECTION 2

Baldwin (9-11, 5-6) at Bethel Park (6-12, 3-7) – 7:30 pm

Baldwin enters the night winning 3 of their last 4 games. Bethel Park has dropped 2 in a row. Baldwin has a 1.5-game lead over Peters Township and Bethel Park. They can clinch a playoff berth with a win. Bethel Park would be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss. Baldwin won the first meeting at home on January 13, 49-46.

Peters Township (9-10, 3-7) at Chartiers Valley (10-7, 6-4) – 7:30 pm

Peters Township has lost 9 of their last 10 games entering Monday night. Chartiers Valley fell to Upper St. Clair on Thursday 73-44 snapping a 3-game win streak. Peters Township is eliminated from playoff contention with a loss or Baldwin win. Chartiers Valley has already clinched a playoff berth. Chartiers Valley won the first game of the season series on the road 56-54.

5A SECTION 1

Woodland Hills (10-10, 7-3) at Indiana (14-6, 10-0) – 7:30 pm

Woodland Hills fell to Kiski Area on Friday 50-45. That loss ended a 5-game winning streak. Indiana has been victorious in 3 of their last 4 games. Both teams have already clinched a playoff spot and Indiana has clinched the section title outright. Indiana won the previous matchup 54-44 on the road.

5A SECTION 2

North Hills (6-13, 1-9) at Mars (14-4, 8-2) – 7:30 pm

North Hills enters the night winners of 2 of their last 3 games. Mars has also won 2 of the last 3. Mars is looking to keep the inside track for the section title away from Armstrong and Hampton. Mars won the first matchup at North Hills 50-44 on January 12.

Shaler (14-6, 5-5) at Hampton (13-6, 7-3) – 6:30 pm

Shaler lost to Mars on Friday 38-35 snapping a 4-game win streak. Hampton fell to Armstrong 48-42 on Thursday ending a 5-game winning streak for them. Shaler is a game behind Fox Chapel for the final playoff spot in Section 2-5A. Hampton is looking to keep the pressure on Mars by staying a game behind them for the section lead. Hampton won the first matchup on the road 41-32.

5A SECTION 3

Albert Gallatin (9-11, 3-8) at Connellsville (4-16, 0-10) – 7:30 pm – Connellsville Sports Network

Albert Gallatin comes into tonight having lost 3 games in a row. Connellsville beat Ringgold on Tuesday 60-50 snapping a 6-game losing streak. Both teams are out of the playoff race. Thomas Jefferson (8-11, 2-8) at Latrobe (13-7, 5-5) – 7:30 pm

Thomas Jefferson is riding a 4-game losing streak entering Monday night. Latrobe has won 2 in a row after dropping 2 in a row. Latrobe has already clinched a playoff berth and sits in fourth place in the section. Latrobe won the first matchup this year 67-59.

5A SECTION 4

Montour (6-13, 3-5) at Lincoln Park (16-3, 5-3) – 7:30 pm

Montour has lost 4 of their last 5 games. Lincoln Park has won 4 of their last 5. Both teams have clinched a playoff berth. Lincoln Park won the first meeting 55-48 on the road on January 12.

Trinity (13-5, 7-1) at South Fayette (17-2, 8-0) – 7:30 pm – TribLive HSSN

The biggest game of the night by far. Trinity enters on a 6-game win streak. South Fayette comes in winners of 11 in a row. A Trinity win would put these two teams tied for the section lead with one section game to go. A South Fayette win would clinch the section title for them outright. Both teams have clinched playoff berths. South Fayette won the first matchup at Trinity 47-25. The game will be broadcasted on the TribLive High School Sports Network.
