6A SECTION 1

New Castle (16-2, 6-1) at Central Catholic (11-7, 5-2) – 7:30 pm

The top two teams in Section 1-6A square off Friday night with New Castle being winners of 5 in a row and Central Catholic winning four of their last 5. A New Castle win would give them a 2-game lead in the section with 2 games to go. A Central Catholic win would create a tie for first place. Central Catholic won the first meeting on the road 56-45 on January 10.

North Allegheny (8-9, 3-4) at Butler (13-5, 4-3) – 7:30 pm – WBUT

North Allegheny enters the night winners of 3 of their last 4 games. Butler comes in having lost 2 of their last 3 games. North Allegheny is looking to keep their one-game lead over Seneca Valley for the final playoff spot. Mt. Lebanon (13-6, 7-3) at Peters Township (9-9, 3-6) – 6:00 pm
