6A SECTION 1

North Allegheny (12-4, 6-1) at Butler (10-8, 4-3) – 7:30 pm

North Allegheny comes into tonight winning 8 of their last 9 contests. Butler fell 60-22 to Norwin on Monday snapping a 4-game winning streak. North Allegheny is trying to keep pace with Norwin at the top of Section 1-6A while Butler currently sits in the third place. North Allegheny won the first meeting 64-47 on January 10.

Norwin (16-3, 6-1) at Hempfield (8-10, 2-5) – 7:30 pm – NFHS Network

Norwin has won 2 straight games following a 2-game losing streak. Hempfield has lost 6 of their last 7 games. Norwin is looking to stay tied for the top spot in the section with North Allegheny. Seneca Valley (5-13, 1-6) at Pine-Richland (8-9, 2-5) – 7:30 pm

Seneca Valley is coming off of a 51-48 win at home against Hempfield on Monday ending a 2-game losing streak. Pine-Richland is currently on a 2-game losing streak. This game is big for playoff implications as Pine-Richland is tied with Hempfield for the final playoff spot in the section and Seneca Valley is a game behind both of them. Pine-Richland won game one of the season series 50-41 on January 9.

6A SECTION 2

Chartiers Valley (10-6, 6-3) at Upper St. Clair (15-2, 8-0) – 7:00 pm

Chartiers Valley comes into tonight on a 3-game win streak. Upper St. Clair has gotten their win streak up to 9 games with their last loss coming on December 22. Upper St. Clair currently holds a 2-game lead over Mt. Lebanon for the section. Chartiers Valley is a half-game behind Mt. Lebanon for second place. Upper St. Clair won the January 9 meeting 65-53 on the road.

5A SECTION 1

Indiana (13-6, 9-0) at Franklin Regional (6-12, 4-6) – 7:30 pm

Indiana is coming off of a 61-34 victory over Gateway on Monday. Franklin Regional has lost 5 of their last 6 including a 44-40 loss to Kiski Area last night. Indiana has the inside track to the section title with a 2-game lead over Woodland Hills at the moment. Franklin Regional sits on the outside looking in a half-game out of a playoff spot. Indiana won the first matchup 51-27.

Penn Hills (7-10, 4-6) at Plum (11-7, 5-4) – 7:30 pm – TribLive HSSN

Penn Hills lost to Woodland Hills on Tuesday 48-26 snapping their 2-game winning streak. Plum also had their 2-game winning streak snapped by Woodland Hills in their last game on January 26. Penn Hills is a half-game out of a playoff spot right now while Plum currently sits in third place. Penn Hills won the first meeting at home 43-42 on January 10. Positions could shift as Hampton is currently tied with Mars for first place in Section 2-5A with Armstrong sitting a half-game behind both. Hampton won game of the series on January 9, 52-32. Latrobe (12-7, 4-5) at Albert Gallatin (9-10, 3-7) – 7:30 pm

Latrobe beat Connellsville 76-44 on Monday ending a 2-game skid. Albert Gallatin has lost 2 straight to the top 2 teams in the section. Things could get interesting with an Albert Gallatin win as Latrobe currently sits in fourth place holding a 1.5-game lead over Albert Gallatin for the final playoff spot. Latrobe won the first meeting on January 9, 51-44.

McKeesport (16-3, 8-1) at Thomas Jefferson (8-10, 2-7) – 7:30 pm

McKeesport heads to Thomas Jefferson tonight on a 4-game win streak. Thomas Jefferson has dropped their last 3 games. McKeesport is looking to stay 1.5 games behind Oakland Catholic for the top spot in Section 3-5A. Thomas Jefferson is 2 games out of a playoff spot and will need a lot to go right down the stretch. South Fayette (16-2, 7-0) at Montour (6-12, 3-4) – 7:30 pm

South Fayette comes into tonight as the second hottest team in 5A as they are winners of 10 in a row. Montour have dropped 3 of their last 4 contests. South Fayette is still trying to fend off Trinity as they hold a one game lead over them in the section. Montour sits in fourth place and has a 2-game lead over West Allegheny for the final playoff spot.

West Allegheny (5-12, 1-6) at Trinity (12-5, 6-1) – 7:30 pm

West Allegheny has lost 4 straight coming into tonight. Trinity comes in winners of 5 games in a row. West Allegheny is 2 games out of a playoff spot at the moment while Trinity is looking to at worst stay 1-game behind South Fayette. Trinity won the first meeting on January 9 on the road, 58-34.
