Plum’s Jake Chapla Kicks Record 51-Yard Field Goal

On Friday night, the Plum Mustangs defeated the Connellsville Falcons, 34-7, in a Foothills Conference contest. In the victory, junior Jake Chapla broke the Plum High School record for longest field goal with a 51-yard field goal in the second  quarter. The previous long was 48 yards, achieved by Pat McAfee in 2005.  McAfee is currently the punter for the Indianapolis Colts. To see a video of Chapla’s record field goal, click here!

Along with Chapla’s record kick, the Mustangs defeated the Falcons thanks in part to a three touchdown performance from Andrew Soxman. The Plum running back also rushed for 123 yards in the victory.
