Pine-Richland’s Eric Kasperowicz Finalist For National Coach of the Year
Pine-Richland High School Football Coach Eric Kasperowicz is one of six football coaches being named as a finalist for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Coach of the Year Award.
Coach Kasperowicz has coaching the team since 2013 and prior served as Pine-Richland’s offensive coordinator.
The only other coach in Pennsylvania being named a finalist is St. Joseph’s Preparatory School Coach Gab Infante.
The other finalists include Straight Herron of South Point High School in South Carolina, Mike Kirshner of Ben Davis High School in Indiana, Bruce Rollinson of Mater Dei High School in California and Patrick Surtain of American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla.
The winner will be recognized Jan. 5 during at the U.S. In November, the Rams quarterback Phil Jurkovec was named a finalist for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award after being selected to play in the Army All-American Bowl.
The Rams had an undefeated season of 16-0 and earned the PIAA Class 6A WPIAL Championship Title by beating St. Joe’s in Hershey, Pa.
