Peters Township Girls Soccer Records Second Straight Shutout
The Peters Township girls soccer team registered its second straight section shutout on Wednesday night, a 1-0 victory at Bethel Park.
The Indians also defeated Canon-McMillan, 1-0, on Monday night. It was their third straight win.
Junior Hannah Stuck scored the lone goal for the Indians, assisted by classmate Rachel Raber.
The win improves the Indians to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in Section 2-4A. They currently hold a half game lead over Moon who sits at 6-1-1. Peters Township will host Upper St. Clair in a big section game on Monday, Oct. 1 at 7:45 p.m.
Bethel Park slips into fourth place with a 6-3 overall record and 4-3 record in the section. The Black Hawks will look to get back on track at home on Saturday in a section game against Moon at 2:30 p.m.
