Oakland Catholic’s Alexis Sestric Scores 1,000th Point
Thursday night’s outcome for Oakland Catholic was never in doubt as the Eagles cruised to a 74-35 Section 3-5A win at home against Laurel Highlands.
There was plenty of excitement though for the home team as senior Alexis Sestric recorded her 1,000th point of her career. Sestric did so by posting a game-high 25 points to lead the first place Eagles.
At 17-2 overall and 11-1 in the section, Oakland Catholic will go for their eighth straight win on Tuesday when they travel to Penn Hills in a non -section game at 6 p.m.
