Norwin pulls away in second half for first win of season

Both Norwin and Penn Hills were playing its first games since the Wright Automotive Tip-Off Tournament at North Allegheny over a week ago. Norwin went 0-3 with three single digit losses and Penn Hills went 1-2.

The Knights turned those lessons they learned in the opening tournament into their first win, a 51-38 Section 2-AAAAAA win at the Indians, on Tuesday.

Norwin outscored Penn Hills 28-17 in the second half, and were led by seniorĀ Magen Polczynski with 18 points. JuniorĀ Tayonna Robertson equaled that with 18 for the Indians.

The Knights will look to improve on their win in their next game on Friday when they host Latrobe in a section match. The Indians will return on Thursday with an away non-section game against Allderdice.
