Kemerer’s Home Run, Beall’s Shut Out Keeps Franklin Regional Undefeated in Section
Senior Christina Kemerer belted a home run in the top of the eighth inning to score the lone run of the game to give the Franklin Regional softball team a 1-0 win at Plum in Section 1-5A on Friday.
The one run was enough due to the stellar pitching performance by junior Angalee Beall.Beall pitched a complete game, allowing only four hits.
The win improves Franklin Regionals record to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the section. Plum falls to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the section.
The Panthers will return to action on Monday when they travel to Armstrong for a section game. The Mustangs will travel to Kiski Area for a section game at 1 p.m. today.
