Gateway Girls Basketball Rebound From Slow Start To Stay Undefeated
Gateway was only able to muster two points in the opening quarter, but were able to find its rhythm in a 46-34 non-section home win against Hempfield on Tuesday.
The Gators outscored the Spartans 17-6 in the second quarter to take a 19-13 lead into halftime.
SeniorĀ Jordan Edwards, a Niagara commit, led the Gators charge with 18 points.
Gateway improves to 6-0 on the season and will face Thomas Jefferson (5-1) on the road on Thursday in its Section 2-AAAAA opener.
