Fox Chapel Continues To Roll With Impressive Win At Penn-Trafford
Not many have put the Fox Chapel boys basketball team in the conversation as one of the elite teams in Class 6A.
Now is the time to do so as the Foxes won their fourth straight game and third straight section game with a 69-54 Section 3-6A win at Penn-Trafford Friday night.
Fox Chapel methodically increased its lead throughout the game after only lead 14-12 after the first quarter. The increased its lead to six at the break and eight heading into the final quarter before they broke down the Warriors, outscoring them 22-15 in the final quarter.
Senior Ryan Kerr and junior Arnold Vento led Fox Chapel with 18 points apiece. Junior Sam Brown chipped in with 13 points and senior Noah Marks added 10.
For Penn-Trafford, senior Luke Fabac led the way with 14 points. Seniors Bradyen Puskar and Kevin Stinelli finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
With the win, Fox Chapel improves to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the section. The Foxes will host Connellsville in a section game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The loss drops Penn-Trafford to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the section. The Warriors will travel to Norwin for a section game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
