Former Armstrong standout Zane Dudek wins Ivy League Rookie of the Year
If there was a most valuable player for the WPIAL last year, Zane DudekĀ would be at the top of a lot of the ballots. In his senior season, Dudek rushed for a WPIAL single-season record 2,955 yards and set the scoring record with 254 points.
The River Hawks graduate didn’t slow down in his first season as a member of the Yale football team, earning the Rookie of the Year honor.
Dudek rushed for 1,133 yards on 159 carries (7.1 yards per carry) in leading the Bulldogs to 9-1 record. He also led the conference in touchdowns with 16 and all-purpose yards with 1,345.
Dudek was seventh in rushing at the FCS level and gained the most yards out of all the freshmen in the country at the FCS level.
