Butler Boys Basketball Hands Central Catholic First Section Loss
Butler erased a four-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to come away with a 70-63 win, handing Central Catholic its first section loss of the season.
The win moves the Golden Tornado to 12-1 and 4-1. They are tied in second place with Pine-Richland, who are both a half-game behind the Vikings, who sit at 6-6 and 5-1 in Section 1-6A.
Butler held a 31-25 at the half, but fell behind quick in large part to a big third quarter by Central Catholic, where they outscored the home team 21-11.
Sophomore Ethan Morton led Butler with 22 points. SeniorĀ Luke Nedrow led the Vikings with 18 points.
Butler will be back in action on Thursday at Seneca Valley at 7:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for tonight but has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. Central Catholic will play Seneca Valley on Friday on the road at 7:30 p.m.
