Entering Thursday night’s Section 2-6A girls basketball game between Bethel Park and Mt. Lebanon, both teams were undefeated in the section.

The Black Hawks remained undefeated after a 44-33 road win, keeping pace with Peters Township for first place.

Defense was the key for Bethel Park, holding Mt. Lebanon to under 10 points in three quarters and 10 points in another quarter.

Mt. Lebanon only trailed by four points at halftime before Bethel Park opened it up in the second half.

For Bethel Park, junior Maddie Dziezgowski led the team with 20 points. Senior Maria Cerro finished with 13 points.
