BASEBALL
6A SECTION 1
North Allegheny 10, Pine-Richland 3
David Posey collected two hits and Owen Schall drove in two runs as North Allegheny (12-5, 8-4) salvaged the final game of the series defeating Pine-Richland (14-6, 8-4) on Monday night. Pine-Richland, North Allegheny and Seneca Valley all finished tied at 8-4 in the section.
6A SECTION 2
Canon-McMillan 10, Central Catholic 2
Sam Meredith drove in four runs, Jake Egizio homered and Ben Urso had two RBIs as Canon-McMillan (13-5, 11-4) finished section play on a high note with a 10-2 victory over Central Catholic (7-10, 6-9).
Hempfield 11, Norwin 0
Adam Hess went 3-for-3 with two home runs and drove in six as Hempfield (10-9, 8-7) rolled over Norwin (8-11, 8-7) in the series finale on Monday. Dylan Firmstone homered for Hempfield.
Mt. Lebanon 12, Baldwin 0
David Shields threw a no hitter, striking out 15 as Mt. Lebanon (10-9, 10-5) continue their phenomenal run coasting to a 12-0 section win over Baldwin (4-16, 2-13) on Monday afternoon.
5A SECTION 1
Gateway 6, Penn Hills 4
Nolan Boehm collected two hits and had two RBIs and Grady Dunsmore also had two RBIs as Gateway (5-12, 2-9) took down Penn Hills (3-11, 0-11) in Section 1-5A play. Conner Leltman had two hits for Penn Hills.

Penn-Trafford 7, Franklin Regional 5
5A SECTION 2
South Fayette 8, Upper St. Clair 1
Tyler Skeen was 3-for-4 and drove in three runs, Shawn Miller had two RBIs and Tyler Pitzer homered as South Fayette (14-3, 7-3) ended section play with a 8-1 win over Upper St. Clair (9-9, 3-7). The Upper St. Clair loss clinched a playoff spot for Trinity.
5A SECTION 3
New Castle 5, Moon 4
New Castle (4-9, 2-8) scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, and held on for a 5-4 win over Moon (8-9, 3-7) on Monday. Caden Schmidt drove in two runs for Moon.
NON-SECTION
North Hills 13, Ambridge 3
Laim Burns had two hits and two RBIs, Tyler Horonec drove in three runs and Dylan Barnes drove in two, as North Hills (12-5) was triumphant on senior day over Ambridge (4-12).
Armstrong 8, Kiski Area 5
Caden Rupert homered and had three RBIs and Haden Brink hit a home run as Amrstrong (12-6) picked up a non-section victory over Kiski Area (9-9). Nate Witt had two RBIs fro Kiski Area.
Connellsville 4, Belle Vernon 3
Matthew Firestone was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs as Connellsville (7-11) defeated Belle Vernon (7-10) in walk-off fashion on Monday. Adam LaCarte homered and Seth Tomalski drove in two runs for Belle Vernon.
Bethel Park 6, Ringgold 2
Ray Petras was 4-for-4 while driving in two runs as Bethel Park (13-4) took down Ringgold (8-11) in non-section action on Monday afternoon. Alex Kolano had two RBIs for Ringgold.
Peters Township 9, Keystone Oaks 1
Steven Laurence had two RBIs as Peters Township (11-6) topped Keystone Oaks (3-13) in non-section play on Monday. Jack Hrivnak was 2-for-3 for Keystone Oaks.
Trinity 5, Albert Gallatin 2
Kaden Hathaway had two hits, including a home run and two RBIs and Matthew Robaugh homered as Trinity (4-8) defeated Albert Gallatin (0-15) in non-section play. Trinity got some good news as South Fayette defeating Upper St. Clair got them into the playoffs.
Butler 6, North Catholic 3
Andrew Lucas had three RBIs as Butler (10-8) won in non-section play over North Catholic (9-8) on Monday afternoon.
SOFTBALL
6A SECTION 1
Seneca Valley 12, Butler 1
Rylee Kratochvil was 4-for-5 and drive in five runs as Seneca Valley (14-1, 13-1) kept their top spot in Section 1-6A with a 12-1 win over Butler (2-13, 2-12).
Pine-Richland 3, Canon-McMillan 2
Jocelyn Langer homered as Pine-Richland (6-13, 6-10) picked up a big 3-2 section win over Canon-McMillan (5-11, 4-10). Samantha Booher was 2-for-3 for Canon-McMillan.
Hempfield 2, Norwin 1

North Allegheny 14, Mt. Lebanon 3
Sammy Plotsko was 4-for-4 with two home runs and drive in five runs and Caitlin Logan also had five RBIs as North Allegheny (13-4, 10-3) rolled to a 14-3 win over Mt. Lebanon (6-11, 5-1) on Monday afternoon.
North Allegheny 8, Pine-Richland 5
Caitlyn Logan had two hits, including a home run and two RBIs and McKenna Rowlands and Sammy Plotsko each had two hits as North Allegheny (14-4, 11-3) picked up their second win of the day winning over Pine-Richland (6-13, 6-10) on Monday. Pine-Richland went 1-1 on the day.
5A SECTION 2
Armstrong 6, Franklin Regional 4 – 10 innings
Emma Smerick hit a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to keep Armstrong (15-1, 10-0) undefeated in section play as they upended Franklin Regional (10-6, 7-3) on Monday. Emma Paul homered and had two RBIs for Armstrong.
Latrobe 3, Penn-Trafford 2 – 10 innings
Piper Zufal was 3-for-4 and Kayla Williams got the win in the circle as Latrobe (12-3, 7-3) scored on an error in the 10th inning to defeat Penn-Trafford (5-10, 4-6) in Section 2-5A play.
5A SECTION 3
West Allegheny 11, Mars 0
Emily Nolan was 4-for-4 hitting two home runs and driving in three runs and Adriana Vicari-Baker and Makynlee Martin each had two hits as West Allegheny (17-1, 10-0) stayed perfect in section play, rolling over Mars (6-9, 4-6).
Western Beaver 1, South Fayette 0
Emma Bogacki threw a complete game two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts and had Western Beaver’s (7-7, 4-5) only RBI of the game as they defeated South Fayette (8-9, 5-5) 1-0 in Section 3-5A action. Emma Earley struck out 12 hitters but was the tough luck loser for South Fayette.
5A SECTION 4
Peters Township 6, Connellsville 5 – 8 innings
Maddie Patton hit a walk-off double in the eighth inning to give Peters Township (4-10, 2-7) a Section 4-5A win over Connellsville (2-12, 2-8) Sami Bewick had two hits and Emersen Gatten hit a home run and had two RBIs for Peters Township. Morgan Adams hit a home run and drove in two runs for Connellsville while Tagan Basinger had two hits.
Thomas Jefferson 11, Upper St. Clair 0 – 6 innings
Kendall Pielin threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts as Thomas Jefferson (12-5, 7-3) was all over Upper St. Clair (8-6, 4-5) in Section 4-5A action on Monday. Pielin also collected two hits herself for Thomas Jefferson.
NON-SECTIONÂ
Penn Hills 15, Gateway 0
Isabella DeCarlo, Shania Lewis and Cassidy Burkovich each had three RBIs as Penn Hills (7-7) defeated Gateway (1-14) in non-section play on Monday afternoon.
Plum 5, Kiski Area 1
Riley Stephans had two hits, including a home run and struck out 12 in the circle as Plum (9-6) beat Kiski Area (6-9) in non-section play on Monday. Taylor Lorish and Danielle Pici each had two RBIs for Plum.
