BASEBALL
6A SECTION 1
Butler 6, Allderdice 4
Noah Kollinger had two RBIs as Butler (7-5, 4-3) fended off Allderdice (1-10, 0-10) in Section 1-6A action on Monday. Lukas Stead had three hits for Allderdice.
North Allegheny 7, Seneca Valley 0
JD Costanzo and Greg Schmidt combined to shutout Seneca Valley (11-3, 4-3) on Monday to give North Allegheny (10-2, 6-1) a 7-0 section win. Costanzo had 12 strikeouts. Ian Zahorchak, Andrew Hart and Anthony Varlotta each had two hits for North Allegheny. Zahorchak homered.
6A SECTION 2
Canon-McMillan 8, Baldwin 0
Andrew Kocan had two hits and two RBIs and Ben Peterson drove in two runs as Canon-McMillan (9-4, 7-3) shut out Baldwin (4-11, 2-8) in section play on Monday. Ben Urso and Roman Mollenauer combined on the shutout on the mound.
Mt. Lebanon 6, Hempfield 0
Matthew Delvaux struck out nine in a complete game win as Mt. Lebanon (5-9, 5-5) got back to .500 in section play shutting out Hempfield (9-5, 7-3) on Monday.
Central Catholic 6, Norwin 1
David Farrell was 3-for-3 and drove in four runs as Central Catholic (6-6, 5-5) took the series opener from Norwin (4-10, 4-6) on Monday afternoon. Gavin Kelly had two hits for Central Catholic.
5A SECTION 1
Franklin Regional 4, Armstrong 0
Franklin Regional (9-3, 5-2) put together a masterful pitching performance shutting out Armstrong (9-4, 6-3) on Monday afternoon in their series opener. Dustin Coleman was 2-for-3 for Armstrong.
Penn-Trafford 7, Penn Hills 6
Brayden Stone was 2-for-3 and Nolan Marasti got the win on the mound as Penn-Trafford (8-3, 4-3) survived Penn Hills (3-9, 0-9) on Monday afternoon. Sean Walker had two RBIs for Penn Hills. Penn Hills scored all six runs in the last two innings.
Plum 4, Gateway 1
Caden Norcutt was 2-for-4 and Brady Dojonovic allowed one run as Plum (8-6, 5-2) defeated Gateway (5-8, 1-6) in the series opener on Monday. Taili Thompson homered for Gateway.
5A SECTION 2
Bethel Park 10, Connellsville 4
Ryan Petras collected three hits and Evan Holewinski had three RBIs as Bethel Park (9-4, 6-1) picked up a series opening win over Connellsville (5-8, 2-5) on Monday afternoon. Kace Shearer and Beau Bigam each had two hits for Connellsville.
Upper St. Clair 2, Peters Township 1 – 8 innings
Braeden Coyle had both RBIs including a walk-off in the eighth inning, as Upper St. Clair (9-6, 3-4) took down Peters Township (6-6, 3-4) in eight innings on Monday. Peter Janoski threw a complete game striking out nine hitters for Upper St. Clair. Zach Miner threw well for Peters Township, not allowing an earned run.
South Fayette 7, Trinity 2
Tyler Pitzer struck out 15 hitters and Bayne Misner was 3-for-3 as South Fayette (11-3, 4-3) gave Trinity (4-5, 3-4) fits all night and came away with the opening game of the series. Christian Brandi had two RBIs for South Fayette. Jonah Williamson had two RBIs for Trinity.
5A SECTION 3
Mars 4, Moon 3 – 10 innings
Ben Astbury and Jake Johnson each had two hits and Jacob Maple was the winning pitcher as Mars (7-6, 4-3) got back over .500 with a 4-3 section win over Moon (6-6, 2-5) in 10 innings. Mars scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the 10th. Nate Lesher was 3-for-5 driving in two runs for Moon.
West Allegheny 6, New Castle 2
Brock Cornell was 2-for-3 and drive in two runs as West Allegheny (8-5, 3-4) defeated New Castle (2-7, 1-6) in Section 3-5A action on Monday. Nick Longo was 2-for-4 for West Allegheny.
Shaler 9, North Hills 0
Brady Alexander, Brady McGuire and Ben Yeckel all had two hits as Shaler (11-3, 6-1) pounded North Hills (10-3, 5-2) in a battle of top teams in Section 3-5A.
NON-SECTION
Fox Chapel 15, Deer Lakes 0 – 4 innings
Colin Donaldson and Zach Johnston each had three RBIs and Jeremy Haigh drove in two runs and got the win on the mound as Fox Chapel (8-5) rolled to a non-section win over Deer Lakes (2-12).
SOFTBALL
6A SECTION 1
Canon-McMillan 26, Mt. Lebanon 8
Olivia Ford was 3-for-4 with two bombs and drove in six as Canon-McMillan (5-7, 4-6) brought the bats, taking down Mt. Lebanon (3-8, 2-7). Kiersten Williams hit a grand slam and Emma Houk drove in four runs. Deirdre Flaherty hit two home runs while Olivia Buckiso homered for Mt. Lebanon.
North Allegheny 10, Butler 2
Meghan McDonough was 3-for-4 and hit a bomb as North Allegheny (11-4, 8-3) got past Butler (2-10, 2-9) in Section 1-6A action.
Norwin 15, Baldwin 5
Emma Novotnak had two hits, including a home run, and Isabella Deering and Maddie Kessler both homered as Norwin (12-2, 10-1) out-scoring Baldwin (0-14, 0-11). Avery Herrington homered and drove in three runs for Baldwin.
5A SECTION 1
Fox Chapel 17, Penn Hills 11
Catie Troutman drove in four runs and Ava Walmsley homered as Fox Chapel (5-7, 3-4) out slugged Penn Hills (5-5, 2-5) on Monday afternoon.
Plum 17, Oakland Catholic 1
Mackenzie Marotta was 2-for-2 with two home runs and drove in five as Plum (7-5, 4-3) coasted to a 17-1 win over Oakland Catholic (0-6, 0-6). Riley Stevens had two hits including a home run and Gianna Tavella homered.
Shaler 6, North Hills 0

Franklin Regional 10, Penn-Trafford 0 – 5 innings
Alexa Patberg was 3-for-3 with two home runs as Franklin Regional (7-5, 5-2) rolled to a section victory over Penn-Trafford (3-9, 2-5) on Monday. Madison Nguyen and Toryn Fulton each homered for Franklin Regional. Carli Ramchandran threw a shutout in the circle.
Kiski Area 16, Gateway 0
Hannah Simpson and Alyssa Perona threw a no-hitter as Kiski Area (6-5, 2-5) rolled Gateway (1-10, 0-7) 16-0. Riley Musco and Mackenzie Favero each drove in three runs for Kiski Area.

South Fayette 6, Mars 5
Maddie Cavenaugh had two hits as South Fayette (8-6, 5-2) picked up a Section 3-5A win over Mars (5-6, 3-3) 6-5 on Monday afternoon.
Western Beaver 7, Moon 5
Shaylyn Shall had two hits and two RBIs and Kaitlyn Zele drove in three runs as Western Beaver (6-5, 3-3) took down Moon (1-9, 0-6) in section play on Monday.
West Allegheny 18, New Castle 3
Aubrey Police homered as West Allegheny (14-1, 7-0) stayed unbeaten in section play with a 18-3 win over New Castle (4-8, 1-5). Olivia Hood homered for New Castle.
5A SECTION 4
Thomas Jefferson 10, Bethel Park 9
Thomas Jefferson (10-4, 5-2) trailed 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Adalina Bracco hit a walk-off two RBI single to put Thomas Jefferson over the top of Bethel Park (3-9, 2-5) in section action. Zoe Kirzan had two hits, including a home run and Kendall Pielin and Allie Chalovich each homered for Thomas Jefferson. Anna Duguid was 3-for-3 for Bethel Park while Lupe McElvenny drove in two runs.
Upper St. Clair 8, Connellsville 1
Sydney Fisher was 3-for-4 driving in five runs and Brooklyn Kemp got the win in the circle as Upper St. Clair (8-4, 4-3) defeated Connellsville (2-9, 2-5) pretty convincingly in Section 4-5A action.
Trinity 5, Peters Township 4 – 10 innings
Ryleigh Hoy walked it off in the bottom of the 10th inning and Trinity (11-1, 7-0) stayed unbeaten in section play taking down Peters Township (3-9, 1-6).
