BASEBALL
5A SECTION 1
Plum (1-1, 1-0) at Armstrong (2-1, 0-1) – 3:45 pm
Plum won the opening game of the series yesterday, 12-2. Jack Anderson had a home run and drove in five runs for Plum while Colin Watson drove in two runs. Mason Schrecengost had two hits for Armstrong.
Penn-Trafford (2-1, 0-1) at Fox Chapel (1-2, 1-0) – 4 pm
Fox Chapel defeated Penn-Trafford yesterday, 2-1, in eight innings. Zach Johnston hit a RBI double in the eighth inning to give Fox Chapel the win. Jeremy Haigh went all eight innings for Fox Chapel. Troy Susnak had two hits for the Foxes. Peyton Bigler had the RBI for Penn-Trafford.
Penn Hills (0-0, 0-0) at Franklin Regional (4-0, 0-0) – 4 pm
Yesterday’s series opener was washed out and moved to tomorrow so today will be the opening game of the series. Franklin Regional has defeated St. Priory School (MO) (17-7), Westminster Christian Academy (MO) (9-1) and North Catholic (13-7) in Florida then returned north and beat Shaler (9-3). This will be Penn Hills first game of the season.

West Allegheny (1-0, 0-0) at New Castle (1-0, 0-0) – 4 pm
West Allegheny and New Castle both won their opening games in non-section play. West Allegheny defeated Mt. Lebanon, 9-8 on March 22. West Allegheny will be headed to Tennessee after this game. New Castle beat Butler, 7-2, on March 21.
