Alumni Update – Plum’s Jake Chapla
Jake Chapla booted a 38-yard field goal that all but put the game away in a 38-31 win for Slippery Rock University as it came with just 48 seconds left.
Chapla was a perfect 5-for-5 on PAT kicks in the game and averaged 47.3 yards per punt on three punts. His only miss came from 51 yards and was just left.
Chapla, a Plum graduate, was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his performance.
