Alumni Update – Gateway’s Ricky Rogers

In first game at Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a grad transfer, Ricky RogersĀ caught six passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns in the No. 4 Crimson Hawks’ 21-17 win at No. 15 Ashland University on Thursday night.

Rogers scored the game-clinching touchdown on a 13-yard pass from quarterback Lenny Williams with 10:03 left in the fourth quarter. He had three receptions on that drive for 35 yards.

The graduate student capped a 11-play 75-yard drive with a 20-yard touchdown catch, giving IUP a 14-10 lead with 26 seconds left in first half.

The Gateway graduate was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance.
