Pipilo Scores 1,000th Point in Chartiers Valley Win
Senior Joe Pipilo became the latest student-athlete from the Big 56 Conference to record his 1,000th career point.
The Chartiers Valley standout did so on Saturday in the Colts’ 55-39 win against Sewickley Academy in the PBC Hall of Fame Classic at Montour.
Pipilo accomplished the feat in the fourth quarter in leading the team with 17 points. He was the second player in the game to record 1,000 points after Sewickley Academy’s Isaiah Warfield did so earlier in the half.
The win improves Chartiers Valley to 13-3 on the season. The Colts will seek their sixth straight win on Tuesday when they host West Mifflin in a section game at 7:30 p.m.
