10 Quad-A Players Selected To PA Big 33 Team
Announced Tuesday was the Pennsylvania Team for the annual Big 33 Football Classic and the WPIAL’s Class AAAA has ten representatives on this year’s squad. The Quad-A school fielding the most players is the Pittsburgh Central Catholic with a total of three. Quarterback and Florida State-recruit J.J. Cosentino, linebacker Niko Thorpe, and defensive back Tre Tarpley were named from the Vikings.
Gateway and Mt. Lebanon had two players selected. For the Gators, receiver Montae Nicholson and defensive back Anthony Davis will play for Pennsylvania, joined by Blue Devils receiver Troy Apke and defensive tackle Alex Bookser. Rounding out the Quad-A players who will take part in the 57th Big 33 Game are Bethel Park’s Mike Grimm, Upper St. Clair’s Ben Huss, and McKeesport’s Jawan Hill. The 57th Big 33 contest will be played between Pennsylvania and Maryland on June 14 at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA.
