Penn Hills Holds Off Woodland Hills To Remain Undefeated

Penn Hills and Woodland Hills were two of the few teams that were able to get its game in on Friday due to the weather conditions.

The weather didn’t slow the Indians down, as they remained the only undefeated team in Class 6A with a 68-60 win at home against the Wolverines.

Penn Hills started fast, jumping out to an 18-12 lead after the first quarter and 32-21 lead at halftime. The Wolverines were able to make a game of it, cutting the deficit to 47-43 after three quarters, but the Indians finished the job like they have every game this season.

Leading the way for the Indians was senior Daivon Stephens with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Cory Fulton added 19 points and senior Keyshawn Adams finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Amante Britt led the Wolverines with 21 points.

The win improves Penn Hills to 14-0 and 6-0 in Section 3-6A. They will look to keep its undefeated record intact when they travel to Latrobe on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Woodland Hills drops to 10-2 and 5-1. They will look to rebound from its lone section loss on Tuesday when it host Penn-Trafford at 7:30 p.m.
