Norwin Boys Soccer Continues To Roll

Heading into Tuesday night’s Section 3-4A game at Connellsville, the Norwin boys soccer team had already wrapped up the section title, but that didn’t mean they were going to ease up.

The Knights scored at least four goals for the fifth straight game, beating the Falcons, 6-1. Connellsville came into the game right behind the Knights in the standings, and still hold a slim half-game lead for second place.

Zach Ullum led Norwin on the night with a pair of goals. Also scoring for the Knights were seniors Carter Breen and Gage Nichols, junior Matt Federovich, and sophomore Ian Brown.

Norwin improves to 13-1-1 overall and 11-0-1 in the section and have not lost a game since the opener back on Aug. 31. They will host Penn-Trafford on Thursday in a section game at 7:30 p.m.

Connellsville drops to 12-4 overall and 9-4 in the section and still is in second place. The loss snapped its seven game win streak. They will travel to Woodland Hills on Thursday for its final section game of the season at 3:30 p.m.
