The North Hills girls’ basketball team relied on their defense to pick up their second win of the season, a 47-40 win against Knoch on Thursday night.

The Indians outscored the Knights 11-6 in the second quarter to take a 26-20 lead into halftime.

Offensively, Jordan O’Malley led the Indians with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Kayla Haile was also in double figured with 12 points. Most of her damage was from the free-throw line, converting on 7 of 8 attempts.

North Hills improve to 2-2 with the win and will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Allderdice for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
