Perfect. That is the only word to describe the 2018-19 Peters Township girls basketball team.

The Indians completed perfection on Friday night with a 62-49 win against District 1 champion, Garnet Valley, at the Giant Center in Hershey.

At 30-0, Peters Township became the fourth WPIAL program in history to complete a perfect season.

On the opening possession of the game, senior standout Makenna Marisa knocked down her first of many jump shots and the Indians never trailed from that point.

Peters Township led by nine points after the first quarter and maintained a double-digit lead from the second quarter on.

The Indians dominated the Jaguars in every facet of the game, shooting 51 percent from the field (24 of 47), were 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, and outrebounded their opponent 31-24.

Marisa may have saved her best game for last, finishing with 29 points on 11 of 19 shooting and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Senior Isabella Mills had a strong overall game as well, finishing with 14 points, seven assist and six rebounds.
