The feeling is different when you are named co-section champs or outright section champs.

The Penn Hills boys basketball team made sure they felt the latter on Friday night. The Indians knocked off the defending Section 1-5A champions, Woodland Hills, with a 63-57 win on the road.

The win gave them the regular season sweep between the rivals.

The game remained close throughout, and Woodland Hills was in good position with a 51-45 lead in the second half, but Penn Hills came on strong in the fourth quarter and shut down the WPIAL leading scorer, senior Keandre Bowles, Bowles finished with 24 points and set the single-season school record for points, but was held without a point in the fourth quarter.

Penn Hills outscored Woodland Hills 23-15 in the fourth quarter to seal the title.

Leading the way for the Indians was senior Tyree Spencer with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Wes Kropp finished with 18 points and Kyree Mitchell added 13.
