Boyan Leads Shaler to Crucial Section Win At Seneca Valley
Junior Hunter Boyan did it all in Shaler’s 1-0 Section 1-6A win at Seneca Valley on Monday.
Boyan pitched a complete game on 68 pitches and hit a home run for the lone Titans run. He finished the game 2-for-3. Sophomore Nick Rispoli also added two hits for Shaler.
With the win, Shaler improves to 6-8 overall and 4-5 in the section. They are currently tied with North Allegheny and Pine-Richland for third place in the section. The Titans will host Pine-Richland for a spot in the playoffs in the section finale on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Seneca Valley drops to 8-8 overall and 3-6 in the section. They are in a must-win scenario when they travel to Butler on Thursday at 7 p.m.
