In one of the biggest turnarounds from one season ago, the Moon football team etched its name into the history books by winning the Allegheny Eight Regular Season section title.

The Tigers completed this feat with a 14-12 win at West Allegheny in the final game of the regular season. Moon and Peters tied for the best record in the league, but Moon won the head-to-head against the Indians. Both teams will be recognized as Conference Champions.

Moon finished with only two wins a year ago, making this year’s run so remarkable.

Moon trailed 12-7 at the half, but played scoreless defensive football the rest of the way.

Dante Clay rushed for both of Moon’s touchdowns.

The Tigers finished the regular season with an 8-2 overall record and 6-1 mark in the section.

They will await their playoff opponent next week.
