Late Free Throws Lift McKeeport Past Defending WPIAL Champion

The defending Class 5A WPIAL champion Laurel Highlands were playing in its first game of the season, while McKeesport was trying to pick up its second win in as many nights.

The Tigers were able to do so thanks to three free throws by Brison Kisan with 0.3 seconds left to lift McKeesport to a 77-74 win.

Kisan finished with a game-high 34 points, including an 11 of 13 performance from the line.

Down by two, Kisan scored the last five points of the game in the final 12 seconds.

Travarese Rowe and Kahreke Andrews added 18 and 11 points, respectively.

Rodney Gallagher led Laurel Highlands with 31 points.
