Connor Ryan’s buzzer beater keeps Moon Undefeated
Junior Connor Ryan beat the buzzer with his layup to keep Moon undefeated and propel them to a 60-58 Class 5A Section 2 win against Chartiers Valley in a battle of top five teams.
Ryan was the answer all night for the Tigers, finishing with a game-high 30 points. Junior Austin Ryan finished in double figures with 14 points.
Chartiers Valley battled back after trailing 33-24 at halftime. Leading the way for the Colts was Joe Pipilo with 24 points.
Moon moves to 8-0 and 2-0 in the section. The Tigers will be back in action on Friday when they host Knoch at 7:30 p.m. Chartiers Valley drops to 4-4 and 1-1 and will look to rebound on Friday when they host Hampton at 7:30 p.m.
