Down by two and to its last out, Trinity senior Cameron Meier belted a three-run home run to lift the Hillers to a 10-9 win at West Allegheny on Wednesday afternoon.

Trinity had no runners on with two outs, but an error extended the inning for Meier’s heroics.

Wednesday’s offensive output was the seventh straight game scoring double digit runs and gave them the regular season sweep against the Indians.

West Allegheny led 7-3 in the fifth inning before Trinity started to make its comeback.

The Hillers cut it to 7-5 and then senior Bailey Bell belted a game-tying two run home run. Bell led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Junior Marlaina Bozek had two RBI and sophomore Emma Morgan scored twice.

With the win, Trinity improves to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the section. The Hillers will host Montour in a section game on Monday at 4 p.m.

West Allegheny drops to 6-5 overall and 6-3 in the section. The Indians will host Baldwin in a non-section game on Saturday at 11 a.m.
