Less than a week after its heartbreaking overtime loss to Canon-McMillan on Haloween Night in the Class 4A WPIAL Championship Game, the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils bounced back with a 3-1 win against District 6 champion, Altoona, at Hollidaysburg High School.

Danny Simboro was the offensive star for the Blue Devils with two goals. Brady Napoleon also got on the score sheet for Mt. Lebanon.

With Canon-McMillan’s loss in the first round, the Blue Devils are the lone remaining WPIAL team in Class 4A for boys soccer.

At 16-5-1, Mt. Lebanon will face Central Bucks West in the state quarterfinals on Saturday at Eagle View High School in Mechanicsburg. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
