Alumni Update – Butler’s Tim Vernick
Tim Vernick led a dominant Slippery Rock University defensive effort that held Clarion University to just 214 yards of total offense and only one offensive touchdown, which came on a one-yard drive after an SRU interception set Clarion up at the 1-yard line.
Vernick recorded 12 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and one QB hurry.
The Butler graduate was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
