Alumni Update – Butler’s Brittnie Spithaler
Brittnie Spithaler helped Edinboro University to a 2-0-0 record last week with a 4-1 upset of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and 3-2 victory at Mansfield University.
The freshman scored three goals over the two games. She notched two goals against MU and one goal against IUP. Spithaler scored the game-winning goal in both contests.
Edinboro is currently riding a three-game winning streak. She has accounted for five goals during the winning streak. Following the win over Mansfield, she moved into second on the team in both goals and points.
The Butler graduate was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for her performance.
