Mt. Lebanon Comes Alive in Second Half To Beat Seneca Valley

Seneca Valley had complete control over Mt. Lebanon throughout the first half Friday night of its Class 6A Conference matchup with the Blue Devils.

It was a different story in the second half, as the Blue Devils outscored the Raiders 26-6.

Joey Daniels connected with Evan Jones for two third-quarter touchdowns and Jones gave Mt. Lebanon (3-1, 3-0) the lead for good with a 1-yard run early in the fourth quarter as the Blue Devils pulled out a critical, 26-20, victory against the Raiders.

Daniels completed 8 of 12 for 166 yards and the two touchdowns to Jones, the second of which went for 79 yards.

Seneca Valley (1-3, 1-2) held a 14-0 lead at halftime as Ethan West went 23 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and quarterback Gabe Lawson scored the second touchdown on a 1-yard run.  

Mt. Lebanon will travel to North Allegheny (4-0, 3-0) for a battle of first place teams next Friday. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
